Greenwoods English Tearoom aan het Singelkanaal werd opgericht op 15 september 1988 door de Australische Gabrielle Mary Wheeler en Janet Isabel Pratt, het was meteen een succes!
In juni 2010 nam Daniel Post het over en gaf de zaal nieuw leven ingeblazen, en introduceerde een paar klassieke Engelse ontbijtopties die je zult herkennen, Eggs Benedict iemand? Twee jaar later, in 2012, werd een tweede locatie geopend aan de Keizersgracht. De mensen zeiden ‘Hip Hip Hooray!’ Voor een grotere zaal, hetzelfde menu en nu… eindelijk; Greenwoods heeft alcohol! Eet uw volledig Engels ontbijt terwijl u geniet van een Bloody Mary of lokaal ambachtelijk bier terwijl u kijkt naar de boten die voorbij varen op de prachtige Keizersgracht. Wat is beter?
We hebben altijd ons best gedaan om lokale ingrediënten van topkwaliteit te vinden en zoveel mogelijk van onze producten ter plaatse vers te maken. Misschien heb je al gehoord of gelezen over ons beroemde Homemade Irish Soda Bread, we kunnen Gabrielle en Janet daarvoor bedanken .
