Greenwoods English Tearoom en el canal Singel fue fundada el 15 de septiembre de 1988 por las australianas Gabrielle Mary Wheeler y Janet Isabel Pratt, ¡fue un éxito instantáneo!
En junio de 2010, Daniel Post se hizo cargo y revitalizó el lugar, e introdujo algunas opciones clásicas de desayuno inglés que reconocerá, ¿Alguien quiere huevos Benedict? Dos años más tarde, en 2012, se abrió una segunda ubicación en Keizersgracht. La gente dijo "¡Hip Hip Hooray!" Para un lugar más grande, el mismo menú y ahora ... finalmente; ¡Greenwoods tiene alcohol! Coma su desayuno inglés completo mientras bebe un Bloody Mary o una cerveza artesanal local mientras observa los barcos pasar por el hermoso canal Keizersgracht. ¿Que es mejor?
